Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work A still life with a dinner-service by Gustave Van de Woestyne. The price achieved of EUR 18,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Van de Woestyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Valerius De Saedeleer in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 481,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with a dinner-service von Gustave Van de Woestyne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Van de Woestyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Valerius De Saedeleer im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 481.000,00.
