Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gustave Van de Woestyne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2000. In the BELGIAN ART 1850-1950 auction, the work De papeter sold for NLG 725,524.00 (€ 348,227.58) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 350,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gustave Van de Woestyne; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Valerius De Saedeleer sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of EUR 481,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gustave Van de Woestyne erzielte im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BELGIAN ART 1850-1950 wurde die Arbeit De papeter für NLG 725.524,00 (€ 348.227,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 350.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gustave Van de Woestyne; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of Valerius De Saedeleer im November 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 481.000,00.
