Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Les Vaches Dans Une Mène Vers L'Étable by Gustave de Smet for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,802.56). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 28,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave de Smet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amants in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 588,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Les Vaches Dans Une Mène Vers L'Étable von Gustave de Smet für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.802,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 28.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave de Smet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amants im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 588.500,00.
