Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session, which included the work Le Béguinage À Bruges by Gustave de Smet. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,425.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave de Smet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amants in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 588,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Béguinage À Bruges von Gustave de Smet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.425,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave de Smet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amants im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 588.500,00.
