Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gustav Klutsis could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Victory Of Socialism In Our Country; And A Companion Print changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,915.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustav Klutsis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work LONG LIVE THE USSR in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 21,149.81).
