Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Christies in Shanghai held the auction Asian and Western 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Computer Controlled by Pig's Brain No. 27 by Zheng Guogu. It changed hands for a price of CNY 187,500.00 (€ 21,629.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CNY 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zheng Guogu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waterfall, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 560,000.00 (€ 58,337.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion Asian and Western 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Computer Controlled by Pig's Brain No. 27 von Zheng Guogu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CNY 187.500,00 (€ 21.629,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CNY 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zheng Guogu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waterfall beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 560.000,00 (€ 58.337,11) versteigert wurde.
