Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sewing for Another Two Thousand Years No. 28 by Zheng Guogu was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 15,948.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zheng Guogu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waterfall, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 560,000.00 (€ 58,337.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sewing for Another Two Thousand Years No. 28 von Zheng Guogu kam im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 15.948,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zheng Guogu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waterfall beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 560.000,00 (€ 58.337,11) versteigert wurde.
