Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in Paris held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Plum Blossoms by Guo Weiqu. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,944.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guo Weiqu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baskets Of Harvest in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,859.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Guo Weiqu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.944,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Weiqu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baskets Of Harvest im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.859,70).
