The work Chrysanthemum And Rocks by Guo Weiqu was sold in the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 73,160.00 (€ 8,052.12), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guo Weiqu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Baskets Of Harvest, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,859.70).

Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum And Rocks von Guo Weiqu wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 73.160,00 (€ 8.052,12) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Guo Weiqu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Baskets Of Harvest beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.859,70) versteigert wurde.
