In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poem In Xingshu by Guo Moruo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,010.66), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Moruo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Xingshu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 2,080,000.00 (€ 214,142.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu von Guo Moruo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.010,66) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Moruo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.080.000,00 (€ 214.142,06).
