Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Poem in Running Script by Guo Moruo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,500.00 (€ 2,935.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Moruo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Xingshu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 2,080,000.00 (€ 214,142.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem in Running Script von Guo Moruo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.500,00 (€ 2.935,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Moruo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.080.000,00 (€ 214.142,06).
