In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poem In Xingshu by Guo Moruo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guo Moruo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Xingshu, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 2,080,000.00 (€ 214,142.06).

Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu von Guo Moruo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Guo Moruo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 2.080.000,00 (€ 214.142,06) versteigert wurde.
