Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Letters by Guo Moruo was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction at POLY in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,062.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Moruo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Xingshu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 2,080,000.00 (€ 214,142.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Letters von Guo Moruo wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.062,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Moruo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.080.000,00 (€ 214.142,06).
