Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guillermo Conte could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction, the work Sillas changed hands for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,143.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guillermo Conte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,545.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guillermo Conte konnte im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Sillas für USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.143,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guillermo Conte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.545,62) versteigert wurde.
