Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deer Crying by Gu Gan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,970.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Gan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concern With No Obstruction, which sold at auction in April 2007 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 28,089.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Deer Crying von Gu Gan kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.970,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Gan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Concern With No Obstruction beobachtet, die im April 2007 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 28.089,31) versteigert wurde.
