Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Dancer by Gu Gan. The price achieved of USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,486.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Gan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concern With No Obstruction in April 2007 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 28,089.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancer von Gu Gan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.486,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gu Gan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concern With No Obstruction im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 28.089,31).
