Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Modern Art + Design, which included the work Café, Paris by Greta Gerell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,524.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Greta Gerell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Restaurant scene, Paris in October 2018 with an auction result of SEK 210,000.00 (€ 20,255.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Modern Art + Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Café, Paris von Greta Gerell zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.524,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Greta Gerell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Restaurant scene, Paris im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 210.000,00 (€ 20.255,03).
