Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gregor Hildebrandt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam auction, the work Weisser Samt (White Velvet) sold for EUR 21,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gregor Hildebrandt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Faith, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 54,942.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gregor Hildebrandt erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam wurde die Arbeit Weisser Samt (White Velvet) für EUR 21.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gregor Hildebrandt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Faith beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 54.942,95) versteigert wurde.
