In the California and Western Art auction, the work Spring Hills & Clouds; Ben Lomond, Green Meadow, May (a group of two) sold for USD 12,575.00 (€ 10,535.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marin Hills sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of USD 21,325.00 (€ 18,309.44).
