Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Boat near Beach, Green Brae and Green Brae (a group of two) by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,500.00 – 6,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,433.68). Admittedly, works by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marin Hills in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 18,309.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Boat near Beach, Green Brae and Green Brae (a group of two) von Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.500,00 – 6.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.433,68) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marin Hills im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 18.309,44).
