Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Mill Valley; Beach - Big Sur, California (a group of two) by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,336.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marin Hills in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 18,309.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mill Valley; Beach - Big Sur, California (a group of two) von Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.336,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marin Hills im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 18.309,44).
