In October 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction, which included the work Homes by the water, Oakland by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,700.00 (€ 4,893.96), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marin Hills, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 21,325.00 (€ 18,309.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Homes by the water, Oakland von Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.700,00 (€ 4.893,96) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marin Hills beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 21.325,00 (€ 18.309,44) versteigert wurde.
