Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Torre by Gonzalo Fonseca was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. It achieved a price of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,162.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Gonzalo Fonseca have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Torre von Gonzalo Fonseca kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.162,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
