In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Puerto De Buenos Aires by Gonzalo Fonseca. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,669.76) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Puerto De Buenos Aires von Gonzalo Fonseca zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.669,76) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
