Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a girl, three-quarter length, wearing a pink silk dress and blue wrap, with a parrot in a forest landscape by Godfried Schalcken was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 81,268.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Godfried Schalcken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Parable Of The Lost Piece Of Silver in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 378,400.00 (€ 562,011.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a girl, three-quarter length, wearing a pink silk dress and blue wrap, with a parrot in a forest landscape von Godfried Schalcken wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 81.268,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden.
