Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Three Fates by Glyn Warren Philpot was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,024.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Glyn Warren Philpot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Head of a Negro in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 302,500.00 (€ 418,222.23).
