Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Head of Henry Thomas, facing left by Glyn Warren Philpot was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,698.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glyn Warren Philpot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head of a Negro in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 302,500.00 (€ 418,222.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Head of Henry Thomas, facing left von Glyn Warren Philpot kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.698,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glyn Warren Philpot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head of a Negro im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.500,00 (€ 418.222,23).
