Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Leda and the Swan by Glyn Warren Philpot. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,465.55), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glyn Warren Philpot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head of a Negro in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 302,500.00 (€ 418,222.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leda and the Swan von Glyn Warren Philpot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.465,55) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glyn Warren Philpot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head of a Negro im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.500,00 (€ 418.222,23).
