Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Malthusian Belt by Glen Rubsamen was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,142.00 (€ 2,436.94). Admittedly, works by Glen Rubsamen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work If we can't have spots where no man has ever been, at least we can have spots where no man is at the moment in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,515.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Malthusian Belt von Glen Rubsamen kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.142,00 (€ 2.436,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Glen Rubsamen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit If we can't have spots where no man has ever been, at least we can have spots where no man is at the moment im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.515,36).
