This artwork by Glen Rubsamen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. In the The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two auction, the work Baia Domizia sold for EUR 7,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Glen Rubsamen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot If we can't have spots where no man has ever been, at least we can have spots where no man is at the moment sold at auction in February 2011 with the realized price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,515.36).
