This artwork by Giuseppe Vasi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2012. In the Old Master, Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints including an Important Private Collection by Lill Tschudi auction, the work Prospetto del 'Alma Cittá di Roma visto dal Monte Gianicolo sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,791.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giuseppe Vasi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Prospetto dell'Alma Cittá di Roma visto dal Monte Gianicolo sold at auction in December 2019 with the realized price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,728.24).
