Auction result well in line with expectations

Angelo; Principe Di S. Antonio Duca Di Castellana Pretore, E Capo Del Senato Di P by Giuseppe Vasi was sold in the 500 Years of Printmaking auction at Christies in London in December 2013. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,766.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Vasi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prospetto dell'Alma Cittá di Roma visto dal Monte Gianicolo, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,728.24).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.766,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vasi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prospetto dell'Alma Cittá di Roma visto dal Monte Gianicolo beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.728,24) versteigert wurde.
