Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art, which included the work Arab Merchants by Giuseppe Signorini. The price achieved of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,394.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Signorini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prayer in the Mosque in March last year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arab Merchants von Giuseppe Signorini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.394,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Signorini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prayer in the Mosque im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51).
