Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,287.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Signorini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prayer in the Mosque, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51).

Die Arbeit A Musketeer Presenting A Petition For The Pope To The Cardinal Secretary Of State von Giuseppe Signorini wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 14.287,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Signorini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prayer in the Mosque beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51) versteigert wurde.
