Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Spazio grigio by Giuseppe Santomaso for EUR 75,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Santomaso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Settembre alla mancia, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 273,915.20.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Spazio grigio von Giuseppe Santomaso für EUR 75.000,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Santomaso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Settembre alla mancia beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 273.915,20 versteigert wurde.
