The work Aspetto del Sud n. I by Giuseppe Santomaso was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2020. The auction ended at the price of EUR 100,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Santomaso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Settembre alla mancia, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 273,915.20.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Aspetto del Sud n. I von Giuseppe Santomaso kam im November 2020 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 100.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Santomaso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Settembre alla mancia beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 273.915,20 versteigert wurde.
