The »bidding war« ended at EUR 700.00 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Migneco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La pescatrice in May 2000 with an auction result of ITL 42,300,000.00 (€ 36,277.87).

Die Arbeit Donna von Giuseppe Migneco wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 700,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Migneco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La pescatrice im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 42.300.000,00 (€ 36.277,87).
