This artwork by Giuseppe Migneco achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2000. In the Arte del XX secolo auction, the work La pescatrice sold for ITL 42,300,000.00 (€ 36,277.87) - well above the upper estimate of ITL 18,000,000.00. This high result makes La pescatrice the most expensive artwork by Giuseppe Migneco that we have observed at auctions so far.
