Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work Studies of three heads ( recto ); Fragmentary study ( verso ) by Giuseppe Cesari. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,646.90), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Cesari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An angel in flight in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 834,000.00 (€ 721,952.91).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studies of three heads ( recto ); Fragmentary study ( verso ) von Giuseppe Cesari zur Versteigerung kam.
