Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work A Standing Putto in a Drawn Spandrel Holding a Tablet, his Head turned to the Right by Giuseppe Cesari. The price achieved of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,789.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Cesari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An angel in flight in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 834,000.00 (€ 721,952.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Standing Putto in a Drawn Spandrel Holding a Tablet, his Head turned to the Right von Giuseppe Cesari zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.789,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Cesari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An angel in flight im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 834.000,00 (€ 721.952,91).
