Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2009 Christies in New York held the auction The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II, which included the work A drapery study with subsidiary studies of an infant's arm and two studies of hands by Giuseppe Bottani. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,366.76), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Bottani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Incredulity Of Saint Thomas in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 35,911.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A drapery study with subsidiary studies of an infant's arm and two studies of hands von Giuseppe Bottani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.366,76) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Bottani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Incredulity Of Saint Thomas im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 35.911,28).
