Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Louis XIV and Louise de la Vallière in the Convent of Chaillot by Giovanni Migliara. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,025.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Migliara have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mantova, Piazza Delle Erbe in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 124,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Louis XIV and Louise de la Vallière in the Convent of Chaillot von Giovanni Migliara zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.025,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Migliara auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mantova, Piazza Delle Erbe im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 124.000,00.
