In June 2005 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Mantova, Piazza Delle Erbe by Giovanni Migliara. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 124,000.00 55% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Mantova, Piazza Delle Erbe the most expensive artwork by Giovanni Migliara that we have observed at auctions so far.
