Auction result well in line with expectations

In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work The Madonna and Child with God the Father above by Giovanni di Marco. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,844.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni di Marco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Seven Virtues in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 557,000.00 (€ 486,845.56).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with God the Father above von Giovanni di Marco zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 41.844,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni di Marco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Seven Virtues im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 557.000,00 (€ 486.845,56).
