Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The Madonna and Child adored by two saints by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,244.92). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).
