Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Including European Works of Art, which included the work Head Of Christ by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,406.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).

Im Januar 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings, Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head Of Christ von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.406,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.476,02).
