Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Birth Of The Virgin by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi was sold in the Old Master Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2007. The price achieved of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 69,164.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).

Die Arbeit The Birth Of The Virgin von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 69.164,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.476,02) versteigert wurde.
