Upper estimate price exceeded by 67 %.
In November last year Il Ponte held the auction Arte moderna e contemporanea, which included the work Natura morta by Giorgio Morandi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 50,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Morandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Natura morta in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta von Giorgio Morandi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 50.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Morandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.332.500,00 (€ 3.712.510,71).
