Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giorgio Griffa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Milan in July 2021. In the Contemporary Curated Milan auction, the work Due colori sold for EUR 30,240.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giorgio Griffa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Verticale sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of EUR 47,880.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giorgio Griffa erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated Milan wurde die Arbeit Due colori für EUR 30.240,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giorgio Griffa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Verticale im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 47.880,00.
