A top price for Giorgio Griffa - as previously expected
In April last year Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Auction, which included the work Verticale by Giorgio Griffa. The price achieved of EUR 47,880.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Verticale is the most expensive artwork by Giorgio Griffa that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Verticale von Giorgio Griffa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 47.880,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Verticale das teuerste Kunstwerk von Giorgio Griffa, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
